oh yeah. All the online discount brokers.
Zecco, Scottrade, Etrade, Questrade, TD Waterhouse, BMO Investorline… there are dozens.
I like Canadian ShareOwner (if you’re in Canada).
You’ll have to do a lot of reading to get caught up on even just “the basics.” But it’s fun to do it while you actually own stock. So I suggest opening an account and buying some shares in a company you already know very well, maybe something like Pepsi if you don’t mind its health implications. Or Johnson and Johnson. etc. Then you’ll learn pretty quickly. That’s how I did it. You don’t have to wait until you “know enough” before you can get started.

Just google ‘buy stocks online’. And, if you dont know what you are doing maybe buy a mutual fund or stick with stocks that are well know companies, but dont make the mistake of buying too high. Look at finance.yahoo.com for the 52 week low of the company, then try to buy around that range. Don’t buy stock in a company if you don’t know anything about it.
Also we are headed in bear market territory. So if you buy something it may well go down.
