I am new and would like to try to invest some money into stocks. I am probably looking to buy low & sell high, I probably won’t get much deeper than that.
I am looking for an online broker and I can’t find one with a minimum under $200 and I don’t want to sign up to a broker that hits me with alot of fees, ect…
If you could, please advise me! Thanks!

Basically what I’m looking for is an online food shop that will stock some American and Australian foods, that I can then buy and get shipped over here to England.
The things I am interested in are cereals, snacks and chocolates.

At TDAmeritrade, the minimum is $2000 if you want the “free trades for 30 days” offer. I’m not sure if they allow you to open an account with less than that if you don’t want that offer. They say they have no maintenance fees.
My own personal opinion is that a mutual fund from somewhere like Vanguard or Fidelity that is based on a major market index like the S&P 500 or Russell 2000 is the best place for new investors with only enough money to meet the minimum. To reduce risk, it’s important to spread an investment across many stocks. Even at a discount broker, the commissions required to do that will be a significant percentage of the investment if the total amount of the investment is only a few thousand dollars which makes it difficult to make any money.

Penny stocks have a huge return when they’re doing good…even just a little bit. Let me tell you some of the ones I’m buying Lehman Aggressive Bond Fund I Shares, S&P 500 Index Spider, Kati Industries, and Sirius Sattelite Radio. I did the research on the groups. O.K. two are funds the other two are penny stocks. Anyway people who know about stocks are these good ones that I have right now, will I profit alot on these? Also, what are the sure fire penny stocks that you know that are guaranteed to blow up and make everybody rich who buys these penny stocks? Name me some… I’ll go buy them! I’m talking about penny stocks that are going to become the next big companies holding the economy down in America like Walmart, Mc Donald’s, Microsoft, Coca-Cola,etc. when they were penny stocks. I’m looking for those potential ones right now. I’m a risk taker so let me know some.

I want to buy stocks online. I don’t have a whole lot of money to invest. Maybe a thousand or two. I don’t want to pay commission since I’ll not be using a broker. What is a legit but cheap company to do this through online?
I remember my professor in college saying something about a “leak” (?)… Getting in by buying only one share, then adding to it & avoiding commission. What is that?
